Jerry Napp, MS

Jerry
Napp, MS has a BS Degree in Education from the University of
Wisconsin - Madison, A Graduate Degree from the University
of Alabama - Birmingham. Both degrees focused on
exercise physiology and public health. He completed an
additional certificate in Gerontology / Preventative
Medicine at UW.
Jerry has a broad range of both
educational and practical experiences as it relates to exercise and
aging. He has worked hospital based Clinical Exercise, YMCA
Director, Corporate Fitness Director, personal training, coaching and on
a consulting basis in setting up health and fitness programs around the
US.
He has worked on the supply side of the
fitness industry since 1990, working for Stairmaster as an account
representative in the Southeast. Currently he is the National Key
Account Manager in Senior Living and Medical for Nautilus, Inc.
Past certified with three highest levels
by the American College of Sports medicine as a Fitness Instructor (HFI)
Exercise Specialist (ES) and Program Director (PD). He has also
completed numerous certificates in pre / post rehab, cardiovascular
rehab, and in strength training for the frail elderly.
In his spare time he coaches endurance
athletes of all ages. He is coaching certified by the USAT in
Triathlon and by the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) as a Marathon
Coach. He has completed over 30 marathons, competed in London and
Canada and is a 5 time Boston Marathon finisher. He hopes to
complete the Wisconsin IronMan before his 100th birthday.
