Gina Florido

Gina has
always been active and trained on a regular basis. She grew
up hiking, biking and playing soccer in Europe. Back in the
states, she played volleyball and basketball in high school
and college. After volunteering for the beach volleyball and
regatta qualifiers for the Atlanta Olympics, the fine tuned
athletes inspired her to become a personal trainer. She
started training at the YMCA in 1995. From 1996 to 2004,
Gina worked at the Spa Emporium in Clearwater. Then began
working with Waldemar at Ironfit in 2004.
Gina enjoys teaching and assisting people to reach their
health and fitness goals. As a trained athlete, she
understands how far a person can be pushed while exercising,
challenging your body and eventually completing the task.
She has endured a handful of injuries and understands the
road to recovery. She believes working in an all women's gym
and helping people to lose weight has played a major role
for her. Education and experience have taught her to
implement a solid plan which consists of training for
muscular strength and endurance, cardiovascular endurance,
flexibility, and nutrition.
During the week Gina puts herself through the same workouts
as her clients and experiments with new exercises and
training techniques. On the weekends you can find her on the
East-West Trail, the tennis courts, or just running around.
