Our Strength
Training Philosophy
We aim to enhance an
individual's overall well-being. One of our objectives is to
educate clients about fitness concepts such as training
specificity, flexibility, strength, endurance and nutrition.
We explain the "why" as well as the "how" in a clear
concise, positive manner.
Increasing our clients' understanding of their exercise
program empowers them to continue working out on their own,
which in turn, increases their self-esteem and profitability
for success.
We
define fitness as the ability to move your own body weight
efficiently. We emphasize the importance of understanding
muscle behavior, body position and
stabilization of the joint(s) involved in the exercise. Human movement in its
most optimal form is fluent, graceful, uninhibited and
athletic.
Our goal is for our clients to achieve balance in both
muscular strength and endurance through resistance training.
Muscular strength refers to the ability to generate force at
a given speed of movement. Muscular endurance refers to the
ability to persist in physical activity or resist muscular
fatigue.
